video - nVidia GPU Decode and Encode YUV422 -


i've created application decode(for now) mpeg2 vídeos.

everything runs when video has yuv420 chromasampling(img1), when in yuv422(img2) bunch of artifacts (img3).

i've search while , read posts saying nvidia not support 422, seams odd. there way go around this?

i kept digging , submitted ticket nvidia developer , got response:

yes, it's known limitation. 4:2:2 mpeg-2 decode not supported(only 4:2:0 mpeg-2 supported). sorry inconvenience.

so, using cuvid yuv 422 chromasampling not supported.
